Itinerary:

Day 1: Hanoi

Pick up from the airport, arriving Hanoi Golden Rooster Hotel. Greeted by our welcoming staffs along with welcome drink to freshen up.
Free time to walk around Old Quarter, guided by our receptionists. With interesting suggestions of what to do and where to go you will be amazed by the city life.

Day 2: Hanoi – Ninh Binh – Sapa

 
Proceed with check out procedure. You can choose to leave your luggage at the hotel or bringing them with you
8:00 – 8:30: The guide will pick you up from hotel lobby to depart for Ninh Binh
11:00 – 11:30: Arrive at Hoa Lu, the ancient capital
In Hoa Lu, there are 2 temples built on the site of the ancient royal palace of Dinh and Le Dynasties. The temples are now dedicated to worshipping the Ding and Le Kings. The visit offers you a chance to learn more about Vietnam in the feudal time.
12:00: Enjoy a buffet lunch at a local restaurant in Tam Coc
13:00: After finishing your lunch, walk to the harbor nearby to take a boat trip on Ngo Dong River in Tam Coc. The sampan boats are rowed by the local using both hands and legs. The boat trip will leisurely take you through 3 spectacular grottos with numerous limestone karsts on the way. If you travel during the harvest season, you will be able to witness the iconic image of Tam Coc with golden rice fields running endlessly along both sides of the river. In total, the duration of the boat trip ranges from 1.5 to 2 hours.
Optionally, you can also join the group to ride bicycle around the countryside watching the local farmers and water buffaloes working on the rice fields.
16:00 – 16:30: Depart from Tam Coc for Hanoi City
18:30 – 19:00: Finish your unforgettable full-day trip to Hoa Lu – Ta Coc at your hotel in Hanoi.
Freshen up and be escorted to Hanoi Train Station around 20:30 by our staffs. Ready to depart to Sapa on a night train.

Day 3: Sapa – Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van – Sapa (Breakfast – Lunch – Dinner)

 
6:30: Be greeted by our guide and driver upon arrival at Lao Cai train station before being transferred to Sapa by a shared bus. The ride uphill to Sapa takes a little over an hour and will give you a first glimpse of the stunning vistas and impressive rice terraces.
On arrival at the hotel in Sapa, enjoy an early check-in if the room if available, otherwise in the interim, you will have access to a basic room for refreshment before having breakfast.
9:30: Start the day with 6km of walking down to the Southeast of Sapa along Muong Hoa Valley to Y Linh Ho village, the home of the Black H’mong. Then, you will continue walking for another 3km down to Lao Chai village. Stop at the village for lunch. After lunch, continue trekking through the rice terraces to Ta Van village of the Tay minority. This trek is relatively easy although the trail can be quite slippery if it rains. For the reason, good footwear is highly recommended.
15:00: Return to Sapa by shared bus and check into the hotel. You will have free time then to explore Sapa town, especially its market with all the colorful handicrafts.
Have dinner and stay overnight at the hotel in Sapa Town.

Day 4: Cat Cat – Sin Chai – Sapa (Breakfast – Lunch – Dinner)

 
8:00: After breakfast, you will begin the second day of your adventure by exploring the villages which are located a little bit further to the Southwest of Sapa (around 4km) including Cat village, the home of the Black H’mong people.
This trek offers some stunning views of a picturesque waterfall and the vestige of a hydro-electric power station which was built in the early 20th century.
Here you can also watch the local villagers working on the paddy rice fields and the kids playing. Enjoy the opportunity to take close-up pictures of water-buffaloes, pot-bellied pigs, and chickens. Have lunch in the village at noon.
Later, you continue to hike for another 3km to Sin Chai village, situated at the base of Hoang Lien Son Mountain with Fansipan Peak, which is also known as the roof of Vietnam and Indochina. Enjoy the panoramic view of the village and have more photo opportunities before heading back to Sapa Town.
Overnight on the train and return to Hanoi in the next morning. End of trip.
